Press Operator

The press operator is responsible for the press’ proper functioning including maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality checks and paperwork every day to maintain production and industry regulations and company standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain assigned machines and equipment as needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality.
• Aid junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
• Repair and clean the equipment when needed.
• Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Contribute to waste management programs.
• Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.

• Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized

• Act and work safely where every job is being executed
• Use working tools with a high degree of consciousness to achieve desired results
• Be safety conscious at all times in applying tools and instruments to execute jobs
• Follow up of the health and safety guidelines

• All operations shall aim for zero accidents

Educational Requirements and Experiences

• HND or its equivalent in any field
• 3 + of work experience as a Press Operator
• Must have advance level knowledge in the use of computer software ( )
• Work experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferable
